Very reasonable breakfast was Friday, thanks to the fact that John has Fridays off and I'm still on break. yippee! For special guest star, Dan, it may still have felt like a VEB... it's all relative. This time we went to Kate's Kitchen, where I had the flanched farney garney (? - I may have gotten that wrong) which was a sandwich of egg and cheese on an onion roll with poppy seeds. Pretty good. Harold said he had the best oatmeal he's had in the city here. We found out the vegetarian gravy is vegan, which is handy information, since I didn't think about it, but breakfast for vegans is tough...

VEB is back!

VEB (very early breakfast) returned this morning after several months of break. John Polito and I went to Crepevine at Church and Market for breakfast.  The crepes at Crepevine weren't too good, but it was great to be out and about in the early am with John.  Our next VEB plan is to go to Tartine where John says we will have such a breakfast as to make the last "all you can eat croissant VEB pale in comparison." The all-you-can-eat-croissant-VEB was pretty decadent, so I can't imagine what it will be like at Tartine with the reins off.  VEB has been off since last semester, since I had 8 am classes Monday through Friday.  It would have to have been VEEB, and there aren't too many breakfast options earlier than seven.
